The Miricia is an ideally located 11 bedroom family run Guest House accommodation, situated on Scarborough's Castle headland with panoramic sea views across the picturesque North Bay, Scarborough's beach and the Historic Castle.
We are within walking distance of both the North and South bay beaches, Scarborough's Castle, Peasholm Park, Open Air Theatre, Cricket Ground, town centre and all of Scarborough's local attractions.
We cater for singles, couples and families with a choice of shared bathroom, private landing bathroom or en-suite rooms, many with spectacular sea views across the North Bay beach. We pride ourselves on a friendly atmosphere and relaxing environment.
You can stay with us on a room only basis or go for our breakfast option for an additional daily charge.
We offer a sea-view modern contemporary guest lounge and an outdoor seating area for you to sit and enjoy the views. Our freshly cooked to order breakfast option is served in our sunny dining room. Free Wi-fi is available throughout. We also provide free street parking permits on arrival for the duration of your stay.
Strictly NO same sex group bookings, this includes stag, hen, birthday or any other occasion that may cause disruption to others.

If you are found to be splitting the group down and making several bookings or misleading us when the booking is made, we reserve the right to refuse your accommodation with no return of any funds paid.
We offer free street parking permits for the duration of your stay, however we cannot guarantee a space close to us and will not be held responsible for this.
Please check with us before booking a room for a travel cot space, as not all rooms will accommodate one.

We can provide an iron and ironing board upon request.
Our breakfast option is served in our sunny dining room and comprises of juice, cereals, fresh milk, Full English, toast, preserves & tea or coffee. Vegetarian and lighter options are available upon request. All food is cooked fresh to order and served on hot plates.
Our comfortable Guest Lounge is ideal for you to sit and relax within the surroundings of the Guest House, equipped with a LCD Freeview TV, books, board games and toys to use at your leisure. We also have an outside seating area for you to sit and enjoy the spectacular sea views.

To find us follow the directions for Scarborough Castle. As you approach the Castle along Castle Road, Rutland Terrace is the left turning before Bay Hotels, The Norbrek. We are located fourth on the left overlooking the bay.
Alternatively as you drive along the front of the North Bay, drive up Albert Drive, up the cliff, turn left at the top and then left again in front of the Boston, onto Blenheim Terrace. Follow this and it will feed onto Rutland Terrace. We are located on the right fourth property from the end.
After leaving the station turn right and cross the road at the traffic lights, head down into the Town along Westborough. Continue down Westborough until you come to the end of the pedestrian area in front of a T junction. Turn left onto St Thomas Street continue until you reach the roundabout, turn right onto Castle Road. Continue up Castle Road and take the 3rd left onto Blenheim Street, then turn right onto Blenheim Terrace that leads into Rutland Terrace continue up and you will find us on the right hand side or simply take a Station Taxi.
The Miricia Hotel North Bay Scarborough is ideally situated for all local attractions including both the North and South Bay beaches, Alpamare Waterpark, Scarborough Castle, Open Air Theatre, Scarborough Lighthouse, Anne Bronte's grave, Stephen Joseph Theatre, Peasholm Park, The Sea Life Centre, Town Centre shopping, The Spa, Scarborough Cricket Club, Alexandra Bowls Centre, Casino and Oliver's Mount.
Scarborough is also within an hours drive of many places of interest and natural beauty, both inland and along the coast.
To the West is Flamingo Land near Pickering, also the outstanding natural beauty of the North York Moors National Park. This maybe familiar as Heartbeat country from the TV show centred around Gromont, Goathland and the North York Moors Railway.
Further West is the great historical city of York. Easily accessible by road or train as a day trip. Major attractions include, York Minster, Shambles shopping experience, Jorvik Viking Centre and many other museums.
To the North is Robin Hoods Bay where Wainwright's Coast to Coast ends and then Whitby, home of Captain Cook, Jet Jewellery, Dracula and visits from the replica Endeavour.
To the South is Filey, Flamborough Head and its wonderful wildlife nature reserves or Bridlington if you simply fancy a change of beach, these are all within easy travelling for a great day out.
Also dotted around the region are many medieval castles and stately homes including Castle Howard, Sledmere House, Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley Castle, Pickering Castle & Byland Abbey.
